Yesterday we went to Makutu's Island which is a big, indoor play area for kids in Chandler. Our friends Michelle, Dilan, Haylee and Addissen Cole as well as Joanna, Samuel, Logan, Henry, and Connor Saunders came with us. We had a blast! The kids ran and climbed and jumped and enjoyed spending time with their friends.

19 months

Kendall turns 19 months on July 22nd. She's now at an age where sitting still for a photo means saying cheese and grabbing the camera. Kendall is an active toddler and is busy climbing bar stools and onto the kitchen counter or climbing all over the couches. Kendall thinks it's funny to throw food at dinner time and always holds her hands in prayers. She's waving and saying Hi and Bye to people. She loves to wrestle with her brothers and jumps on their backs and tries to ride them. Her vocabulary in the last week has grown considerably and she's now repeating a lot of words you say to her.

climbing out

Kendall climbed out of her crib on Saturday night. The first time she was okay and walked into the family room. Gary and I wondered why the boys got her out of the crib and they both said no we didn't. So we put her back in the crib and she immediately got to the top and then face planted onto the carpet. It happened so quick and as Gary says it was like an Elway tackle. It seemed like her head and neck went opposite directions. She spent that night and the next 4 nights sleeping on the crib mattress on the floor. Her naps have been quick and messy. She's been emptying her dresser drawers during her naps and then sleeping maybe an hour or less (normal naps 1.5-2 hours). I ordered the crib tent and it arrived today. Gary assembled it and so far so good! She only cried for a little while tonight and hopefully she'll sleep all night. She's becoming quite the handful!

We celebrated our first Reuter Reunion over the 4th of July. We traveled to Austin, TX and stayed at Paul and Carrie's house. We had a wonderful time swimming, playing baseball, catching up, had a baby shower, celebrated Grandma Yvonne's upcoming 70th birthday, went to Sea World San Antonio, enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks, bat cruise, and lots of other fun things. We had a great time and look forward to the next Reuter Reunion!

Golfing on Father's Day

Gary took the boys golfing on Father's Day morning. They have been going on the weekends to the juniors course at the 500 club near our home. It is a great program for kids. The boys enjoy golf and I think Gary enjoys that they love golf!

Bath time at the Cole's!

Last night I dropped Kendall of at the Cole residence while I took the boys to their basketball games. Michelle offered to watch Kendall so I could watch both their games uninterrupted. So I thought for a moment and remembered the night before when she ran onto the court during Blake's game. The refs called the whistle and stopped the game while I grabbed her off the court yelling "I'm so sorry" a 100 times. It was an easy decision to make! Kendall had a bath with Haylee (almost 4) and Addisen (almost 2) and the girls had fun while getting clean! Thanks Michelle, Andre, Dilan, Haylee, and Addie for watching Kendall while I watched the boys play their basketball games.

Kendall Josephine is 18 months today. As you can see from the photos she loves yogurt and lollipops. Her new word is "mine" and other words include: baby, Mommy, Daddy, Blake, Evvy, Ga (Grandpa), Mama (Grandma and Auntie), doggie, ball, sheep, cow, duck, Hi, byebye, and we think she's starting to say yes and along with shaking her head no.
