Celebrating Kendall's Second Birthday in Flagstaff

We went to Flagstaff, AZ on Kendall's 2nd birthday. We went sledding and had to leave early due to a blizzard. Kendall did not like the snow. She cried and cried and cried. She was a very miserable little girl! I took her back to the car and out of the snow gear and she was once again happy! The boys loved sledding and didn't want to stop. The next day we cut down our Christmas tree near Stonewall Lake.

ASU V. UC Santa Barbara

On 12/21/09, Blake's basketball team played a scrimmage game during the ASU/UC Santa Barbara halftime. They played on the court for 6 minutes and Blake's team won by 2 points. The highlight of the night was meeting Derek Glasser after the game. He shook the kids hands and signed autographs for them. Blake told us he was never washing the hand that Glasser shook! Don't worry it was washed later that night!

Kendall's Elmo Party!

We celebrated Kendall's 2nd birthday with an Elmo themed party on December 19th. She invited some friends from her playgroup as well as our family. Gary made her Elmo cake and we had orange and red balloons and Elmo decor. It was a beautiful and sunny day so we opened presents and had cake outside. Kendall enjoyed her 2nd birthday party!

Elmo & Santa

Last night we saw Elmo at Desert Ridge Marketplace. Kendall was so excited when he came onto the stage and she waited in line to meet him. As we got closer she became more excited and then it was our turn. She backed herself against the wall and refused to go near him. The boys took their photo with him and we thought she'd stand by them. Finally Gary picked her up and they took a photo with Kendall crying. So we figured since we already traumatized her with one cartoon character that we'd go see another character good ole Saint Nick aka Santa. He was going to be at the Norterra Farmer's Market last night too. We stopped by and took a quick photo with him and again she cried. We like the parking lot background on the Santa photos!
